The Parties agree to cooperate in the folowing areas :

1. Planning, evaluation and innovation policy on Science and Technology including: food and agriculture, biotechnology, biomedical science, Information and Communication Technology, transportation, energy, defense technology, advanced material, including nanotechnology and any other areas as may be mutually agreed upon by the Parties;
2. Horizontal scanning such as foresight, capability analysis and investment analysis on science and technology including: food and agriculture, biotechnology, biomedical science, Information and Communication Technology, transportation, energy, defense technology, advanced material, including nanotechnology and any other areas as may be mutually agreed upon by the Parties.
3. Building knowledge observatory on S&T including: food and agriculture, biotechnology, biomedical science, Information and Communication Technology, transportation, energy, defense technology, advanced material, including nanotechnology and any other areas as may be mutually agreed upon by the Parties.
